Do it once, never do it again! – Toiletry organizing ideas
I always try to pack an organized travel bag with each trip, so that my trip goes smoothly and I forget nothing. Today, I present the method behind my organized packaging!
Pack Organized Travel Bags
One of the biggest challenges I face when I travel is to keep all my stuff in order. Start well: shoes at the bottom of the suitcase, then clothes, accessories and carefully folded toiletries.
Unfortunately, after only a few days, this carefully executed system becomes a real disaster that makes it almost impossible to search for anything that is found without removing everything from the bag. Sound familiar?
Many luggage is basically a large compartment with a pair of mesh pockets. This makes staying organized a slow and insurmountable task.
Knowing that many people will be traveling during the next vacation, I thought about sharing some of the things that helped me the most when I tried to prepare an organized travel kit!
Create A List Of Items That You Will Carry In Your Travel Toiletry Bags
I am always better organized when I come with a plan. That’s why I like to make a list of toiletries, clothes and other items that I want to take with me during my trip. I did it in different ways in the past.
The type of trip I’m doing determines for me how to organize my packing list. If I leave for a longer trip or vacation with a casual itinerary, I’ll sort my list of clothes. I list all my shirts, then all my shorts, all my swimsuits, etc. Your brain may be running completely differently from mine! Make the kind of list that suits you best, but you definitely have a plan for your packaging.
If I make a shorter trip with a detailed itinerary, I plan the outfits for each activity and write them on my list.
In addition to listing the toiletries, clothing and other items I want to pack with me, I’m always sure to include “last minute” items in my list. These are things like makeup and phone chargers that I have to use just before you leave. So, I want to make sure not to forget them before I leave!
Grab Items You Are Going To Pack In Your Toiletry Bag
As soon as I make my list, I collect everything I put in my travel bag. My suitcase is nothing special, but I like the fact that one side is zipped to keep my stuff in place.
Pack Up The Travel Toiletry Bag
My travel bag is easy to store because I keep it filled with basic things. I take it with me on every trip: toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, nail file, razor and make-up remover travel are always in the bag. The things that worry me, like shampoo and conditioner, are kept in plastic bags in my bathroom kit. I use the same bags again and again unless something really upsets them.
With so many of my items in my pocket, all I need to do is add some items like makeup and mirrors, my hair straighteners, my toothbrush and other special travel products like an insect repellent or a screen solar. Depending on your personal preferences, you can store more or less items in your pocket and prepare them for use.

Then it’s time to fill my packaging cubes! The way I pack my dice depends on how I organized my packing list. If it’s a short trip on a specific route and I’ve planned outfits, I’ll keep similar outfits in one cube. For the trip I made last weekend, for example, I wrapped my best dinner outfits in a cube and the more casual outfits for the day in another cube. As underwear can go with any outfit, I put them all in a separate cube. In addition, the clothes of relaxation or training were gathered in a separate cube.
If it is a trip or vacation with a non-specific itinerary, I pack the dice by clothing style, that is to say, they represent a top, a short in another, etc.
Brand A Plan For Washing Dirty Laundry While Traveling
I always try to have a plan to handle dirty laundry while traveling. If possible, I like to unload my clothes in drawers when I arrive at my destination and name one of my biggest bags.
If unpacking the dice is not possible and I have to use the dice to hold my clothes while rolling, I will try to take an extra dice (which folds flat and takes up practically no space) for the clothes.
If it is a long trip and there is a lot of laundry, our family usually chooses the suitcase. Whatever the method used, the goal is that at the end of the trip, all the clean clothes in the same place and all the dirty clothes in a different place, so that, once back home, the dirty people can easily throw clothes in clean clothes in our drawers.
Depending on the destination and available resources, my favorite laundry was when we went on vacation this summer and had a washer and dryer in the small place we stayed. I washed everything before leaving and went home with suitcases filled with clean clothes that I could unload in our drawers and cupboards.
So that’s my packaging system! Making a plan and intentionally shaping the way I pack my bags helps make my trip easier, and my distracted self can be sure I will not forget anything! Organized packaging also facilitates home transfer. If I managed to stay in order with my luggage, I will always thank you at the end of the trip.
